Passage 12

In plain words

"This is not the right, natural quality of humanness": so you must teach him sense. For this reason: however much you slander others, you will be slandered ten times as much in time to come. However much evil you go on wishing on others, four times that evil keeps coming to you yourself. Beware of that too. So we must not criticise anyone. If we develop Prema, all this slander, praise and scorn will go far away. So, remembering God, worshipping Him in song, taking part in service with Prema and making your birth fruitful, come, contemplating the divine principle "I myself am divinity". So each one must remain as God Himself. It is not that God is in one place apart. You are, even now, your own God. Seeing the dress you have put on, you mistake yourself for a human being. As long as you are in this very delusion, you cannot see Brahman. Our delusions alone are the root cause of our not seeing Brahman. When one drives delusion away, one comes near to Brahman. So make your time fruitful by doing the remembrance of God's Name with bhajans. Not even for a moment must we enter into needless matters. The monkey that thought of Rāma without ceasing became Hanumān. How the fickle monkey became the very form of Śānti! That is why Sītā described Hanumān: "Calm, virtuous, strong: Hanumān." So we must try today to experience such a calm nature, those virtues, that strength and that divine Name.
