Passage 7

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

But in these three there is no room for any such thing. Love of God. Who is God? Truth is God. Love that Satya. There Satya and Prema, the two, have joined. In fear of sin, Ahiṃsā begins. One must not hurt another. One must not wound. One must not do violence. Here fear arises, and so people do no violence. When there is no violence, Śānti arises naturally. Śānti and Ahiṃsā are contained in it. To live in society with courage: that itself is Dharma. So Satya, Dharma, Śānti, Prema and Ahiṃsā are all contained in that itself. Within our body, which has five each of qualities, feelings, sheaths and vital airs, there are three guṇas. These are the sattva, rajas and tamas guṇas. In the same way, among the five vital airs that are Satya, Dharma, Śānti, Prema and Ahiṃsā, we can select three, only three. They are Love of God, Fear of Sin, Morality in society. If we love and foster these three qualities, a happy three, we will become the Trimūrti, embodiments of Satya.

You need not speak much. You need not read much. Hoping that, while you study your lessons well, you will keep these three firmly and make your humanness fulfilled, and blessing you, I bring My talk to a close.
