Passage 9

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

"Walk this way and that, mothers; I will tell you which of you is beautiful," he said. They did so. "One of you come, one of you go," he said. Then he said, "Mother Lakṣmī Devī, you are most beautiful when you come. Mother Daridra Lakṣmī, you are most beautiful when you go," he said. In this way, by his ingenuity, he satisfied both. In this way we must win strength through ingenuity. That is why it has been said, "Blessed is he who hurts no one, is not hurt himself, and steers clear as he goes." That ingenuity turns into yoga. That ingenuity must cause no pain either to you or to others.
