In plain words
It is because of the lack of Prema that quarrels break out in the home. Prema is God. God is Prema. Love is God. Live in Love. This must be taken as the main goal. Whoever you go to, show humility and deference. Today preaching and teaching about Satya, Dharma, Śānti and Prema is going on. Displays are going on. But it is not being shown as an ideal. We must practise it and experience it. There is no use in our proclaiming it or displaying it. By that the world never changes. Only when we show it in practice does it truly become ideal.
A human being is truly one to be taken as an ideal. To show an ideal, humanness alone is the right ideal. In this world there is nothing greater than humanness. What is the reason for today's unrest and turmoil? Saying one thing, doing another. This is the cause. That is why we are losing humanness. Say only what you have thought. Do only what you have said. Only through the oneness of these three does humanness grow. This is what you must recognise. We must not think that being spiritual means a life alone, or aloneness. To make all humanness one, to practise it, experience it, rejoice in it and give it to others: that alone is being spiritual. It is not a matter of doing bhajans. It is not doing pūjās. These are good karmas, no doubt. Loving everyone is Bhakti. We must grow the faith that God is in everyone. Sarvajīva namaskāraṃ keśavaṃ pratigacchati. Whomever we bow to, we must feel that we have bowed to Keśava. Sarvajīva tiraskāraṃ keśavaṃ pratigacchati. Whomever we reject, we must feel that we have rejected Keśava. Only when such a feeling comes does humanness take shape as divinity.
Embodiments of Prema! You cannot move hearts or melt them by talks alone. With talks, unrest arises. The mind grows hot. The heart is disturbed. It is full of doubts. I conclude My talk, hoping and blessing that to follow that path, recognising in practice, rather than through these talks, that the Prema principle and Godhood in everyone are one, is the very best path.
