In plain words
We must make the effort it takes to achieve. The strength this achieving needs comes only from the strength of the Ātma. Whatever strength one has, without the strength of the Ātma it is of no use. Karṇa had strength of arm and strength of wealth. But because he lacked the strength of God, he was trapped in the war. The strength of God is essential.
Embodiments of Prema! There is nothing in this world that is not God. Everything you see is God. What you experience is God. What you hear is God. Food is He. Drink is He. We cannot even see the air that is around us. We breathe in the air but do not see it. We experience the air but do not grasp it. God is not one who is caught when you try to hold Him. He is not one who can be seen by the eyes. He is one who is felt by the heart. He is one who is known to the mind. The mind alone is the cause of man's bondage and liberation. This mind has taken on the form of the world. “This world has the mind as its root”: we must try to recognise the mind. What is this mind? The mind itself is the nature of Mādhava.
We must try to bring this mind onto the right path. Only then can we gain real joy. The mind roams like a mad monkey. That is not the mark of true humanness. Animals, birds and beasts also experience eating, sleeping, fear, mating and the like. If man too experiences just these, what is the meaning of saying that a human birth is rare among living beings? A human being must live as a human being and show himself a human being who is an ideal for others. We must not behave in a disorderly, scattered way but enter a sacred path. Our life is a most excellent one. It is sacred. We must know that such a human life is to be made sacred and not to be wasted.
Grow the principle of Prema
Embodiments of Prema! Even if you do no sādhana, even if you do no japa or dhyāna, grow the principle of Prema. Share out that Prema, which is God's prasāda, among all. There is nothing greater than that Prema. Through this Prema alone the whole world becomes one.
