In plain words

Wherever we may go, in whatever age we may live, to whatever country we may go, we cannot live apart from this world. Even those who go to the moon take water and oxygen from here itself. So the whole of our life is a form made up of the five elements. If even one of them is missing, humanness does not reach its fullness. That very light is the Prema principle. Every human being may live without anger. He may live without hatred. He may live without desires. He may live without attachment. But without Prema, man cannot live in the world at all. Prema is the very life of man. We use this Prema in many ways. The love between mother and child we call vātsalya. The love between husband and wife we call moha; the love of relatives and friends we call anurāga. Love for things we take to be icchā. Prema for the Paramātma we call Bhakti. In all of them, Prema is the chief power. Prema is one. 'Ekaṃ sat viprā bahudhā vadanti.' What exists is one alone, Satya, and that is Prema. If we want to attain that Prema, what path must we follow? This is the light. Light. If we want light, what is its support? The bulb is its support. For this light to come and reach the bulb, the wire is the support. Merely having the wire and the bulb, the two of them, does not give light. There must be current in that wire too. When the current joins the wire and enters the bulb, this bulb gives the radiance called light. In just the same way, the current is Truth. The wire is Dharma. Śānti is the bulb. The light is Prema. When the current called Satya reaches the bulb called Śānti through the wire called Dharma, the light called Prema is gained. So if we want to attain this light called Prema, only when we bring these three together, Satya, Dharma and Śānti, does the light called Prema dawn in us.

Then what is this Satya? In Satya, in Dharma, in Śānti, Prema remains one and the same. When this Prema joins speech, it becomes Satya. When this Prema enters actions, it becomes Dharma. When this Prema joins thoughts, it takes the form of Śānti. So Satya without Prema, Dharma without Prema, Śānti without Prema are nowhere to be seen in the world. So Satya, Dharma and Śānti rest upon Prema. Prema is not a thing that changes. Prema partakes of the Paramātma principle.
