In plain words
Embodiments of the divine Ātma! There is nothing greater than the Name. In the Kali age, the Name itself is … . In the Kṛta age, dhyāna; in the Tretā age, yajña; in the Dvāpara age, ritual worship; in the Kali … age, nāmasmaraṇa. Through nāmasmaraṇa we can achieve anything at all. Golden ones! In anyone there will be bad qualities such as anger …, envy, jealousy and vanity. Through food and habits, … keep coming. But we must try to subdue them. There is no need … to come anew from within us. Look, there is fire. If we neglect the fire for a while, a … layer of ash comes and covers it. Where did this ash come from? It came from the fire itself. The ash that came from the fire has covered the fire itself. Blow on it once and the ash goes. The fire … appears. In the same way, from the very divinity within us comes Māyā, the Māyā called ignorance, and covers it. When we blow away that ash through … remembrance alone, the fire shows itself. We … need not bring in fire anew. The fire is within us. Such Jñāna we can attain … through this very nāmasmaraṇa. So, hoping … that you will sanctify your time by nāmasmaraṇa and do nāmasmaraṇa, and blessing you: however many hardships, however many sorrows there are, they keep coming and keep go… . All are passing clouds. Not even one thing in this world is permanent. Hardships keep coming … in this world. Without hardship, happiness has no value. If we sit twenty-four hours in an aircondition room, we do not know the value of aircondition. Move about in … for two hours, then step into the aircondition: then we know its value. Without … hardship there is no happiness. Without hunger, food has no taste for us. Without darkness, light and brightness … have no value. Everything in this world is filled with divinity, and all of it is changing. What has come … all goes. All that has gone comes again. Its name is jagat. That is, ja-gat, coming and going: … is the world. See! Nothing at all, not even one thing, stays forever in this world. All things go; … come. So, in the time between coming and going, we must do the deeds that make life fruitful. I hope that you will do nāmasmaraṇa of God and find fulfilment in every way.
