In plain words

Hari Govindā, Hari Govindā, say Hari Govindā, you dullard! When death is moving near, learning and wealth will not save you!

…. He told you to dwell on God, so as to make your life worthwhile. Because the ruler… … the maharṣis, the pativratā mothers and the paṇḍitas of those days carried on such teaching and spreading, the sacredness of spiritu… has stood firm in Bhārata to this day. We must have faith that time is the form of God, which came into being to … such sacred karmas. If we forget the svabhāva, the svarūpa too … goes. Svabhāva and svarūpa, the two, are inseparably bound. But the man of today, longing for …ic influence, is forgetting the svabhāva that belongs to the Ātma. He is only …, and cannot be the man who is the form of the Ātma. Take jaggery, for example. The svabhāva… of jaggery … sweetness. If that svabhāva has wasted away, the form of the jaggery does not go. It is not jaggery at all. Clay… … so when we say man, there must be the trikaraṇa śuddhi called humanness. If this very svabhāva called trikaraṇa śuddhi … goes, man turns into a lump of clay.

Along with the spiritual …, we must keep this in right view. Economic, political and worldly changes, needed…, … are taking place. But the change of the mind is not taking place. For so many years we have been … discourses. We read so many books, but if each one puts the question to himself, … will be known. Why studies that bring no change like this, why hearing, why reflection …? What we need is reflection that brings change. However many medicines we swallow that do not cure the illness, the use …; however much we read about food that does not fill the stomach, what is the use? We rea… ever so many books. However many kinds of sweets we read about, will they fill our stomach? Only when we put what we have read into … and experience it is the stomach filled.
