In plain words
You are not the body, this heap of blood, flesh and bones; you are not the desires not plainly seen, nor the Manas that shows itself; you are not the delusion of attachment that binds and bars the way to Mukti; you are the eternal Paramātma, able to know your own power!
Embodiments of Prema, students!
Body, senses, Manas, Buddhi: all four of these are only vestures that man has put on. Only when we recognise the secret of the things we wear can we use those things too in the right condition. You wear a pant, a shirt, a vest, a coat, all these. Only when you recognise which vesture is to be worn in which way do you enjoy it as its proper use. Otherwise, when you do not know what a shirt is, there is a chance of using it in a distorted way too. Someone who has not understood what this vest is may put the vest on over the shirt. When you do not know what this pant is, you may wear it back to front, front to back. So you recognise well the clothes you wear every day, and set out to enjoy them with that understanding of them. Only then do those clothes become an ornament and give joy. In the same way, this body we have put on is only like a garment. Only when we first of all recognise how we should wear it, how we should enjoy it and how we should use it, does the body come to its right use.
Its derivation is 'dahyate iti dehaḥ'. That is, this body is what is burnt. Everyone knows that it is burnt after death. But even while we live, it is being burnt. How? This body is being burnt by worries.
