In plain words
You are holding the mirror called Buddhi, meant for seeing your face, before the faces of others. That is why you cannot recognise your own faults.
We must make our self-confidence strong. Only when we have this self-confidence do we attain Ānanda. We should not worry at all; with courage we must gain the strength to face the troubles, losses and sorrows that come. That is why in our education system we taught the 4 F's. The first F: Follow the master. Follow your conscience. The 2nd: Face the devil. The third: Fight to the end. The fourth: Finish the game. This itself is your true nature. In this matter you must keep up your study always. What are these studies? In English studies there is ABC. What is the inner meaning of this ABC? Always be careful. Uttiṣṭhata jāgrata prāpyavarānnibodhata. Among such studies, we must take up the studies that belong to our culture.
Students! However long we live, however many kinds of knowledge we come to know, however many offices we hold, some day or other we cannot escape recognising our own principle. Such a truth must be known right now; be careful at every moment. When, where and in what way God's grace, God's Prema or God's blessing will come; in the physical and worldly world things keep becoming known to us and keep being understood. In the spiritual we know nothing; we understand nothing. If we go on carrying out our duty, and keep gathering in at every moment the Ānanda that is ready for us, that itself will bring us Ānanda. We should not worry about what is to come. We should not brood at all over what has gone by. All are passing clouds, passing clouds. In this world not one thing, not one person, not one matter is lasting. Its very name is jagat. Ja-gat: it is only coming and going. Once we recognise this truth, why should we worry? So we must give no room at all to this worry. Only then will humanness become fit to attain the divinity due to it. Apart from humanness alone, no other living being has this chance.
The root cause of this is nothing but food and the way one lives.
