Passage 4

In plain words

Would the cakōra birds, who drink the cool white moonlight and play in joy, set their minds on flowers of frost? In the same way, the Manas of a man who has Bhakti and prapatti that are eternal and true will not run off at all to any place but the lotus feet of God. It is people with such pure minds who are the Gopīs. The Gopīs born in Vrepalle, the Gopīs who drank the nectar of Kṛṣṇa's Ānanda, the Gopīs who were worthy of Kṛṣṇa's affection, the Gopīs who followed the search for the Ātma of …, desired nothing else at all. So at any moment … at all, it was only to the Gopīs' houses that Kṛṣṇa would run. However many ways His mother tried…, Kṛṣṇa would not stay alone for even a moment. However many kinds of complaints came… … from Vrepalle, Kṛṣṇa would not leave Vrepalle. The whole of that Vrepalle was filled with the nectar of the Gopīs' Prema. It was not butter He stole from every Gopī's house. It was the Gopīs' hearts. Butter means what is pure, what is spotless, what is soft. A heart like this is the Gopīs' heart. Vyāsa compared the Gopīs' heart with butter. One day, when all the Gopīs made complaints, Yaśodā says to Kṛṣṇa:

You do not eat what is set before You; to the cowherds' homes You go off and grab the butter, so they say, and in secret You eat it; with You all this scandal was born, Kṛṣṇa, my baby, my son! I will tie You to the mortar; give up Your pranks now, forget them, Kṛṣṇa! Your whole mouth smells of butter, you are not even the size of a fingernail, child; the whole village is in uproar with the same quarrels

That is, Kṛṣṇa showed the Gopīs a divinity that even His mother did not understand. Bringing this sacred divinity into even the smallest matters, Kṛṣṇa taught divinity to the world in the Dvāpara age.

In the Tretā age Rāma came down as the embodiment of Satya and Dharma. In the Dvāpara age He came down as the embodiment of Śānti and Prema. Today: a coming down that joins in one the form of Satya, Dharma, Śānti and Prema, all four.
