In plain words
We must gain God, who is full of Ānanda, only through Ānanda. That is why, if we wish to attain God, we must follow the path of Satya. We must travel on the path of Prema. With unity we must reach the end. We must put this difference far from us. This itself is today's chief message.
Embodiments of Prema! Wherever it may be, in whatever country, we must give no room at all to these differences of religion. I am not teaching that religions should be rooted out. We must root out religious hatred. Each of you, follow your own religion. Each of you, keep to your own religious traditions. Root out the very hatred that lies between one religion and another. When there is no hatred, Prema grows in us. When Prema has grown in us, the Paramātma appears before us. You want God to appear before you without any pain, you want realisation, you want liberation: merely asking for it with the mouth is of no use. Prema. The Prema that is in Me and in you is one and the same Prema. We must recognise the truth that God is one. That alone is the root cause of all of you gathering here. That thread called Prema binds everyone together. It makes all one. It merges all. It makes all dance. It brings them into Ānanda. So every human being must make the principle of Prema grow.
