In plain words
The oneness of Śiva and Keśava
“Whether He rides the bull or rides the eagle, the two are one, O man! Do not curse ‘Raṅga’ crying ‘Liṅga, liṅga, Śiva-liṅga, liṅga’, O mind! However much grain and riches you have, they will not come near you, O man! Say: refuge in the supremely holy Paramaśiva, O man! Take refuge in Parameśvara. That is the supreme joy of life. To borrow and go on pilgrimages is wrong, wrong! O man! Know well that the Paramātma is within the jīvātma, O man! Push show aside and see the Ātma! Without delay, spend your whole life like the “ōgucukka”! However much study and ritual you learn, the service of Swami will not come to you! That sweet name shows the way to the one who thinks of it! Do not turn a deaf ear to the words you are told and do wrong, O man! Find this truth that is like fire, and walk the great way!” Follow that divine and holy way, cross over, choose it, revel in it, and taste Ānanda.
The essence of all names is one
One must not curse Raṅga crying ‘Śiva, Śiva’. ‘Raṅga, Raṅga! O Pāṇḍuraṅga!’: crying so, one must not curse Śiva. Today it is not so. Crying ‘Śiva, Śiva’ they curse Raṅga. That is not true Bhakti. Divinity is the oneness in the many. The Bhakti of today has all slid down into a narrow path. One who says Rāma does not like Kṛṣṇa. One who says Kṛṣṇa does not like Rāma. One with such feelings is not a true human being at all. How can one who is not even human understand Mādhava? “I love Rāma very much. When I say or sing the name of Rāma, tears of joy fall,” they say. But they are putting the name of Rāma on the market and selling it. Whispering that divine name of Rāma in the ear and pulling money into the hand. Push such petty ways aside. Do not listen at all to such teachings. God is in all. Respect everyone, love everyone. Enjoy everything with joy, and think, “The essence of all names is one.” With this feeling remember the name of God. By such bhajans humanness becomes one.
