In plain words
“Prema itself is God. This whole world is full of Prema. So the man who possesses Prema in its fullness becomes worthy of attaining the principle that has no second. The divine embodiment of Prema, come down from heaven to earth to teach the people this sacred principle of Prema, is none other than this Śrī Mātā, Sai Mātā.”
Embodiments of Prema!
For man to forget himself, to put his own nature out of mind and to long for Divinity: this alone is called “sacred Prema”. Only when this “gem” called Prema shines in the human heart do thoughts divine, noble and new arise in him. Unfortunately, the nature of cruel beasts is running riot in men today. Through the influence of the Kali age, compassion and Prema are dwindling to nothing in men; only the craze for a showy life is growing. The true principle of Prema is not to be seen in man. Everyone may say, “We love God”, but of those who have true Prema for God, not even one in a crore is to be seen. So long as man has the divided attitude of extolling God when he is enjoying comfort and happiness and reviling God when he is suffering hardship and loss, that does not earn the name of Prema for God. The Prema that does not swell at pleasure or sink at sorrow, but holds to equanimity: that alone is Prema for God. In this world many kinds of troubles pursue man. But they are all only like drifting clouds; they are not lasting. Only Prema for God is eternally true. So man must become full of Prema. Only then will the whole world appear to him full of Prema.
Whatever the colour of the glasses we wear, this whole world appears in that colour. “Yad bhāvaṃ tad bhavati.” Only when man becomes full of Prema does this whole world appear full of Brahman.
