Passage 11

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

To purify this air, we must remember the Name of God. People do nagarasaṅkīrtana. By it, the sound that is one within the many turns into a divine vibration. We must breathe, every day, the very air that holds such a vibration. Only then will good feelings grow in us. Divine feelings will arise. Only then shall we gain Śānti. The water we drink is polluted. So how can our life be pure and not polluted? First of all we must purify our life. This cloth is white. But through use, dirt has got into it. How are we to clean a cloth that has got dirty? We must dip it in water. We must rub soap on it. We must beat it on a stone. Only then does this dirt go. This cloth, our heart, which has got dirty, we must put in the water called Prema, apply the soap called sādhana, and beat on the stone called Jñāna. Only then will the dirt in us go. Only then will divine feeling take shape in us. Only then does man experience the principle of Satya, which is ‘nirguṇaṃ, nirañjanaṃ, sanātanaṃ, niketanaṃ, nitya, śuddha, buddha, mukta, nirmala svarūpiṇaṃ’.

Embodiments of Prema! Everyone has spiritual thoughts. The spiritual feeling is arising in everyone. But not knowing the way, they are bewildered. Set the spiritual feeling that is in everyone on the right path. Let your longing be for what is right. Set your power of discerning the eternal from the passing on the right path. Give up selfishness and self-interest. Speak the Name of God. At every moment, at all times, in every place, install the Name of God on the altar of your heart. How are we to speak this Name? It must be spoken with Prema.
