Passage 4

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Many do not know its secret. We did not start it merely to publicise ourselves. For us practice is what matters, not publicity. After a heart operation one has to stay in hospital for at least a month. But in our hospital, and this is no boast, if the operation is today, the next day they sit up and are eating idlis. On the third day they are walking. On the fifth day they take out the stitches. On the seventh day they are discharged and go home. Do you know how? They are like a new bridegroom and bride. Our boys know it well. There is a professor called Radhaswami. He too is right here! He did not even know he had heart trouble, poor man! How he managed to work, who knows? Our Venugopal caught it at once. ‘He must be operated on at once; he is in danger,’ he said. In the operation they did four bypasses. ‘If he were married off now, he would be ready!’ That is how he is, so strong! That itself is joy. This health itself is the greatest fortune. If health is good, one can do any amount of work. So many like him have been treated here and are enjoying robust health. Step by step, if not today then tomorrow, this will become an example to the whole world. Anyone at all, even one without means of any kind, should have no hesitation whatever in coming here. This is your hospital, not Mine! It was set up for your sake. Hoping and blessing that anyone may come here, joyfully restore their health, enjoy happiness and peace and give others a life worth following, I bring My talk to a close. Some people are thinking; they doubt, ‘Perhaps this was set up only for the poor; perhaps people like us should not go.’ No, no. This is a hospital that serves everyone. Disease does not find out whether this one is rich and that one poor before it comes. It may come to anyone. So anyone may come here. With us there is no such distinction. From the millionaire to the poorest of the poor, all are equal here! So, without the least doubt, all of you who are in need, come to the hospital.
