Passage 7

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Forgetting our svabhāva and longing for prabhāva, we are simply wasting our life. Our svabhāva is wasting away just because we long for prabhāva. Sva-bhāva means the nature of the Ātma. Svātantrya is the same as svatantra. Svatantra is not doing as one likes and behaving as one likes. Svātantrya means nothing but Ātma-tantra! We must follow such a conscience.

Today we must recognise the unity in diversity

Embodiments of Prema! Our own karmas are the cause of today's unrest, turmoil and fears in the world. Nothing else at all. Thinking someone or other is the cause of this, we lay excuses and blame on them, simply out of our own weakness. But no one is the cause. Whatever karma each one does is his alone! The result will be just so.

No one can escape reaping the karma he himself has done, brother; on what day, in what way, who can say? The reaping is certain, brother.

If we recognise this Satya today, we will not take a single step towards hatred, sins, ridicule or speaking ill of others. We must follow that path. We must enter into the best of work. We must do ideal karmas. We must develop unity in human life. The clever people of today divide unity into diversity and see it so. Those of good quality who have recognised the unity in diversity are very few. Today we must recognise the unity that is in diversity. All are human beings! Forms and names may be different. But the divine principle is one! Look, these bulbs appear here and there, so many of them, all separate. But we must grasp the Satya that the current in all of them is one. Every human being is just like a bulb! One bulb may be dim.
