In plain words

But even when man goes to the moon, he takes with him the oxygen that is on the earth. He takes the water that came from the earth. He takes the food that grew on the earth. On the moon he finds none of what he needs, no water, no food, no air. All of it he takes from Prakṛti alone. Every power man needs is in the earth itself.

Only when people develop a broad outlook will all be happy

Students! We long for something great out in space, but there is nothing there. It is all Ether, Ether, Ether! Go higher still, and there is what is called Ozone. This ozone was a covering over the sun. If there were no ozone, the sun's rays would fall straight on the earth and bring destruction to man's life. Because this ozone has spread over so thickly, the sunlight falls not directly but on the ozone, and so falls on the earth somewhat lightly. But man today, having found all these modern powers and fallen prey to the pleasures of the senses, is harming the ozone layer, which sustains life. As science has advanced, they have developed industries everywhere and so increased the smoke. All this smoke goes up and is spoiling the ozone layer. Now a hole has formed in the ozone layer too! Through that hole the sun's rays all fall straight on the earth. Every country in the world is vying to find a way to set this right. America, Russia, Germany, Japan, all of them. In truth there is no special solution to this problem. Reduce the smoke and that will do! Smoking here does not mean cigarettes and bīḍīs. It is the smoke that comes from motor vehicles. We must cut down altogether the smoke that comes from industries.
