One must stay steady. Otherwise, if we keep wandering this way and that, why study at all? Because of this wavering the student even fails in his examinations! See, there is a tree. When there is no wind, it stays still. When the wind comes, it sways. What is the reason it sways like this? The pressure of the atmosphere outside. So what is the reason your mind is not steady? The fault of your company alone is the reason for it. The atmosphere around you alone is the reason for it. That is why: tell me your company, I shall tell you what you are! As your friends are, so are you. So we must win good friendship. Only then shall we come to have good feelings. So, when Devī Navarātri begins today, prayers to Prakṛti begin; making the powers of Prakṛti holy and putting these holy powers to good use, we must make our birth fruitful.
