In plain words
When it was decided to do it in the Hindu way, they were digging inside the Būṭī temple. Again some came to block it. Many obstacles kept arising. At long last the police and the Collector stayed there and established Bābā's samādhi. The Muralīdhara temple that Būṭī built in those days is today's samādhi temple.
Those without faith drift away from God
Then, while everyone in the house there was watching, she placed on Kṛṣṇa the garland Bābā had given Mātājī Kṛṣṇapriya. ‘What is this! Being a devotee of Sai Bābā, she has put the garland round Kṛṣṇa's neck; why should she not put it on Sai Bābā?’ some wondered. Everyone was singing bhajans. The flower garland placed round Kṛṣṇa's neck came and fell round Sai Bābā's neck. In the end, everyone in Simla that day rejoiced that Bābā and Kṛṣṇa are one. When they rose at daybreak and looked, the garland Bābā had given was not round Kṛṣṇa's neck. It is on the samādhi inside this Būṭī temple. For what did Bābā have to show miracles like these? In those days there was great enmity between Hindus and Muslims. Wishing that there be no such strife between faiths, Bābā: ‘All beings have but one Master! He has no distinctions of caste or creed. The religion that brings all into harmony is Bābā's religion. That alone is the good of all. That alone is the vow of the ṛṣis. That alone is the religion of man,’ He taught. So many wonders had to be shown to go on proclaiming that very Satya. These teachings of humanness are not teachings one person hands to another. Each one, by himself, by his own effort, must make his faith grow. Those without faith keep drifting away from God in many ways. The root cause of drifting away like this is their own prārabdha karma. They stay here a long time. But on some pretext or other they go away. This is the force of their karma.
