Passage 5

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

A small example. Three people live in a home. Mother, father and son. When these three live together in harmony, in close accord, each going along with the others, there is no heaven other than that home. If even a little difference of opinion begins among these three, there is no hell other than that home. When one says yes, another says no. ‘Deho devālaya prokto jīvo deva ssanātanaḥ.’ The body is a house. Three live within this house. Mind, word and deed. As long as these three live together in harmony, Ānanda brims over in this body. If a rift comes between these three, and the mind goes one way, the word another and the deed yet another, there is no hell worse than this. That is why what matters most for humanness is unity, purity, Divinity. The oneness of these three is true Divinity. Only through this unity does purity arise. This very purity leads to Divinity. So: from unity, purity; from purity, divinity!

The Sathya Sai Organisations were founded only to bring happiness and Śānti to mankind

If there is to be unity, mind, word and deed, all three, must be one. On the spiritual path this is what they called the tripuṭī. These three must be one. Not only in spiritual life, not only in worldly life, not only in society: for the whole of life, the oneness of these three brings peace and security. Today man needs Śānti above all. We founded the organisations only to bring this Śānti. They were not made for Sai's name and fame, or for publicity, or for any other such thing. ‘Lokāḥ samastā sukhino bhavantu’: all must be happy. Many organisations exist in the world. But our Sai Organisations must not be like all the others. We must work in unity. All must be like brothers. Brotherhood of man and fatherhood of God. But today this is not happening as it should. I am Coordinator, I know, do not talk: we must not use words of this kind.
