In plain words
So, to become a vyakti, we must make manifest through sādhana the divine power within us. We must put away feelings of difference. We must desire the unity of all. There may be some differences among us. We must not grieve merely for that. To remove these differences, we must foster the principle of Prema. That is the true way. Man's life is most precious, worth living, sacred, divine, exalted, radiant and noble in character. Man's span of life is short. Recognising this, while life lasts we must strive not to waste the power within us but to put it to worthy use. But how are we wasting this divine power? We waste our divine power through bad deeds, through ill intentions, through evil thoughts and through wicked acts. We cannot enquire into the Supreme.
Do you know why you were given hands! To carry morsels to the mouth? No, no: the worship of Śiva, purifier of the fallen, is what they are for, to offer with your own hands!
The hand was given not for eating; it was given for doing work. God gave two hands and gave one stomach. If we work well with our two hands, why should the stomach not be filled?
God can do anything
Today we do not put our two hands to work to the full. Yet we fret that there is no food for the stomach. This is our own fault, our own laziness! In Bhārata we must give laziness no room at all. A lazy man has no right even to eat. We must work. That is our duty!
