You must see the God who is in everyone as one. The God who is in everyone is the feeling of the one Ātma. Only when that unity is there can you achieve any amount of Divinity. Today such unity is lacking. ‘Self-interest, self-interest.’ Each looks after his own interest and gives no thought to the concerns of others. ‘I and mine; I and mine.’ What about society? Only when you think about society can you and yours be well. If you forget society and think, ‘I and mine’, where are you? Are you not in society? Without society one cannot live even for a moment. So we must begin the service of society. Our welfare lies within the welfare of society. We must develop such Prema. What we must do today is I+you+he+he: keep on adding, plus, plus! All will be one family. If instead you think minus, minus, in the end the only one left is you! So keep on adding, plus. All are one! The whole world is one family. We are all children of God! The Father is one; the children are many. Brotherhood of man and fatherhood of God. We must develop this Prema. We must develop the feeling that we cannot stand for even a moment apart from the thought of God.
