In plain words
Today TVs have come even into small huts. What changes are those TVs bringing? People set these TVs in front of them in the dining hall while they eat. They eat while watching it. What they eat is not food. It is the filth that comes on the TV that this fellow is eating. All his attention is on it. By that very vision the creation is changing. Whatever actions, scenes and feelings we watch, those very scenes, feelings and bad deeds enter into us. Without our knowing it, many anxieties and agitations grow in us. You do not know it. A man wonders, “I never thought of such things; why should such feelings come to me?” But these bad deeds, bad feelings and bad plans are the seeds of the scenes seen on this TV, and they have lodged in our heart. When their time comes, all of them sprout as plants and grow all these feelings in you. While we eat, we must not talk of frightening things. We must not think of exciting things. We must not argue with one another while we eat. While eating, one must simply keep silent. The waves of these words enter our heart. Whatever feelings and waves enter, those very imaginings arise in us. So you must see that such waves do not arise. Star TV has come. It is turning man completely to soot. People are selling a human life that is like a ruby for charcoal. They think it is giving them peace. No, no. It gives a passing peace. You watch it and enjoy it. You do not know how much trouble these things will give you afterwards, once they enter you. It is like a knife smeared with honey. If you go on licking it, thinking it is honey, it cuts your very tongue. Because all such scenes have entered the young men and young women, today not only Bhārata but the whole world is in turmoil. It is full of unrest. They are full of agitation, full of excitement.
