In plain words
Say "father", and he becomes someone apart from you. These ties of kinship must not be thought of with God. You are I, I am You. Beyond that, the ties called father and mother bring a certain bond of kinship. Through this very bond, more troubles arise. All are born from one and the same place. Though there are various names and forms, in them all, for everyone, there is the Ātmatattva that is oneness.
What is bound up with difference is ignorance
Here is a small example. In the infinite ocean countless waves arise. One wave is never like another. Each wave has its own shape. Each wave has its own form. All the waves belong to the ocean! In the same way, in the ocean of Saccidānanda, the waves called human lives keep coming with different forms and names. But the ocean water called Saccidānanda, within these forms and names, is one. In every human being Saccidānanda is there by nature. We make so many efforts to get this Saccidānanda. This is our ignorance. From ignorance comes want of Viveka; from want of Viveka, Ahaṅkāra; from Ahaṅkāra, attachment; from attachment, hatred; from hatred, karma; from karma, birth. The root cause of our birth is karma. The root cause of karma is hatred. The root cause of hatred is attachment. The root cause of attachment is Ahaṅkāra. The root cause of Ahaṅkāra is want of Viveka. The root cause of want of Viveka is ignorance. Everything arises from ignorance. What is this ignorance? Ignorance is what is bound up with difference. The sense of difference that says "That is separate, I am separate": that is ignorance. All is a part of God. A fire is burning. Some sparks fly up. The sparks have come out of the fire! But as long as they stay near the fire, all the qualities of the fire are in the particle. When these particles go some distance away, the fire goes out. It becomes charcoal. In the same way, as long as one stays near God, the qualities of Saccidānanda that are in God are in him too.
