In plain words
He Himself came and did everything. One day Pāṇḍuraṅga and Rukmiṇī were talking together in the kitchen. The second wife heard it. Some woman is talking in there! She told her elder sister, "It seems a relative of theirs has come." When she came back to look, the woman was not there. She had vanished. Even for darśana a time must come. For devotees a time must come. Darśana, sparśana and sambhāṣaṇa are not so easy. That is why they waited so long. They were moving about in the very house. But these two did not recognise that they were God. They went to Paṇḍharpur. There Pāṇḍuraṅga appeared before him: ‘My son! To test your mind I gave you all these kinds of punishment. You have kept your word. Here is your son who died’: and He gave him back. He took them all into Himself. In the end He fulfilled this Gōrā Kumbhār's heart's desire. Darśana, sparśana and sambhāṣaṇa need their time.
The vision of God does not come the moment it is wished for
In the Kṛta Yuga all the ṛṣis kept striving for the vision of God. But in the Kṛta Yuga there was no form of God. They bowed to karma, saying ‘Salutation to that karma’. One day He gave darśana. The ṛṣis saw Him. Then they went about proclaiming it to the world. We have seen God. ‘He is beyond darkness, He shines with the radiance of the sun, He has the light of ten million suns; we saw Him not outside but within’: so they described Him. They had His darśana. Then they prayed to God: ‘Swāmi! We have had Your darśana. But conversation with You has not come to us!’ they said. ‘My dear ones! Not in this age. In the Tretā Yuga I will grant you conversation,’ He said. For the conversation an age went by. All the ṛṣis were born as monkeys. Then Śrīman Nārāyaṇa was born as Śrī Rāma. Then He kept talking with the monkeys. Rāma sat in one place. They all sat in another. He told them the difference between the one and the other: ‘My dear ones! As long as you are monkeys, you cannot touch Me, who am in human form.
