If he knows it, he enjoys Ānanda easily. Having pictured divinity in our heart, try through it to attain Ānanda. The body needs a purity. If the body is to be pure, we must remember the Name of God. If the mind is to be pure, we must go into dhyāna. Japa with dhyāna, dhyāna with japa: both should be there. What makes the two … equal is the principle of Prema. There is a cymbal. Only when two cymbals come together does sound come. Only when japa and dhyāna both join does the nirvikalpa state come about. That nirvi… is the true vikalpa. There must be deep Prema. There must be faith too. We must cultivate faith. This Prema we must attain.
