In plain words
Hiraṇyakaśipu hated Nārāyaṇa. Hiraṇyakaśipu trusted in forms and names. Prahlāda was not deceived by names and forms. Even though names and forms are there, we must give them up. Some day the body has to be given up. The feeling of the body has to be given up. It is not leaving wife and children. It is not leaving property and possessions. What must we give up? We must give up the hatred, envy and the like that have covered man. Humanity is what has covered these three. If we remove what has covered it, Ānanda is gained. A film has grown over the eye. Simply remove the film and sight comes. You need not earn sight separately. In the same way, attachment, hatred, envy and the like have covered the heart. To separate them out step by step: that itself is sacrifice. Sacrifice does not mean giving up property and possessions. We must give up bad qualities. When we give up bad qualities, the principle of the Ātma emerges in us with ease. That is your right. Humanity is born of Mādhava. It came from God Himself. Though it came from God, we are forgetting God Himself. The clouds are all born of the sun itself. Those clouds in turn cover the sun itself. But the sun bears them no hatred at all. These are all passing clouds. Why should we hate what passes in a little while? In the same way, at certain times bad qualities and bad feelings arise. Arising, they keep hiding the shining principle of Prema for a while. Then we must hold to Śānti. If we stay calm, the clouds that have gathered move away. By whatever wind the clouds came here, by that same wind they move away from here. For the clouds to come here and to move away from here, the strong wind is the chief thing. That strong wind is our principle of Prema. When that wind called Prema blows, these clouds run off. The clouds that had gathered move away.
In this world there is no task at all that is impossible for Prema. One may fail to achieve something by other means, but in nature there is nothing that Prema cannot achieve. Everything can be achieved by Prema. Prem Īśvar hai, Īśvar prem hai. The Paramātma is Prema; Prema is the Paramātma. We must carefully recognise the oneness of these two. We must develop this principle of Prema. Just as your pains matter so much to you, you must believe in the pains of others in the same way. You must recognise the Satya that just as you have so much Prema for yourself, they too have as much Prema for themselves.
