Passage 9

In plain words

He cannot bear anything. He cannot put up with anything. So birds and beasts, because they live a natural life, go on achieving their tasks boldly and with daring.

The man of today depends on the strength of his intellect, on the strength of his arms, on the strength of his wealth. He has not taken refuge in the strength of the Ātma. If you have self-confidence, that one thing, you can achieve everything. This strength of wealth comes and goes. The strength of numbers. How long does the strength of numbers last? As long as you are riding high with power and riches, your relatives all stay by you. After that, how will the world honour you? If you have the strength of the Ātma, that one thing, every kind of strength comes to you. Today we must set out to live by the strength of the Ātma, by the strength of God. We must trust the Ātma and try to do good karmas. As the karmas, so the results. As the food, so the belch. As the flour, so the bread. Every man must enter into good karmas and experience lasting Ānanda. He must reach the world of Sat. This alone is man's chief goal. This alone is man's chief aim. If you do only bad deeds and want good to come, it cannot come. Do good. We must strive to go very close to divinity. Each step must be near to God. Every step we take must go closer to God. Only then can we achieve victory.
