Passage 10

In plain words

All that we heard is scattered within the heart. We forget what we heard. Men and women must not engage each other in talk at all. If there is need to talk, talk at home. Whether in the bazaar or in the compound, you must not talk to each other. Not only that. Some elders sit facing the students and talk. This is a bad ideal. In front of children we must be ideal. When we guard that kind of silence, the sound within the silence is itself Brahman. From today, go on nurturing this discipline in some measure. Do not bring in harsh words. I told you only yesterday. Everyone must be full of Prema. We must regard that very Prema as our life-breath. We must believe this very Prema to be God. If you waste that Prema, it is as good as wasting God. Speaking with Prema, living our life with compassion and courage, contemplating Divinity, we must reach the state where we forget time itself.
