In plain words

If you fill the heart with Prema, all your actions will be nothing but Prema. Throw a stone into a well, and a ripple starts across the whole well. How far does that ripple go? As far as the well extends, so far the ripple goes. In the same way, if you throw the stone of bad thoughts or of good thoughts into the lake of your mind, it spreads through the whole body. The hands all do only bad. The eyes all see only bad. The ears hear only bad. The words all come out bad. The feet go only to bad places. From head to foot these very thoughts spread. So the heart is of the first importance. Today's students look at art, but they do not look at the heart. heart is inside, art is out side. The heart is wholly of the supreme reality. The principle of nivṛtti alone is complete and pure. For this there must be purity of citta. The karma we do must be done with purity of citta.

We have paid the fruit of who knows how many births and bought this thing called life. We must see that this humanness does not take the wrong path. Man must die as man. Man must not die as a beast. Man need not become God. It is enough if man lives as man. This is the very first thing students must learn today. The whole world outside behaves in many different ways. So we need not inquire into their good and bad. We must look after our own good. If even a small fault arises in you, look on it as a big one. But do not look on a small fault in others as a big one. First of all we must root out the faults that are in us. Only then shall we be those who have made their humanness blossom.
