In plain words
By entering into such sinful sight, through mere petty sight, what has filled your stomach? If you look at a woman, what do you gain? You gain ill fame. They lose even the right to walk among others with their heads held high. We must look only at what is to be looked at, and not look at what is not to be looked at. You young men must not take this in any other way. It is My duty to tell you what goes on in the world and set you on the right path. What is the world like today? An elder brother of twenty-five years and a younger sister of twenty, the two of them, are setting off on a journey somewhere. But going by their ages, everyone takes the two of them for husband and wife. What ill fame came of this journey! In truth they are brother and sister. In keeping with ancient tradition, in keeping with the distinction of Bhāratīya culture, even if they are brother and sister the two must not travel together. Brother and sister must not go off to a cinema, or to the beach, or shopping. They must go with the mother or with the father. In those days they went on laying down bonds of this kind as true rules. Now, with bad intent, when an old man of sixty and a maiden of sixteen set off together on a journey, they say grand father, grand daughter. But the thoughts within are bad. Wicked feelings, but proper notions: grand father, grand daughter. Even when people see a brother and sister who have gone with the best of intentions, a bad thought arises in them. Though their intention is good, society thinks badly of them. So we must give no room to ill fame of this kind. If any need arises, you go alone. Do not take … along for company. The ancient culture said that the two must not travel together. For what? For the sake of fame and standing. To uphold the honour of the home. To guard the good name of our family. The sight of today's young men is turning very bad. You could say this is not the sight of the eye but the sight of a crow. It does not look once. It keeps looking this way and that. What is the reason? For it, that is natural. Because its beak is long, what that eye sees this eye cannot see.
