In plain words
Students! Regarding words as life, when we speak with elders or parents, with friends or in the presence of people worthy of respect, we must speak so that Satya fills our words full and plenty. Hanumān was Sugrīva's minister. Taking Sugrīva's leave, he came to speak with Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa. Rāma, hearing Hanumān's words, was very glad. Brother! Lakṣmaṇa! He is calm, virtuous and strong. The principle of Śānti shines in his very words. In that courtesy and respect itself, his qualities become clear to us. Should we look at his strength, at one go he came down from the mountain. He came down in the blink of an eye. He who was on the Mātaṅga mountain came down even as we watched. Our good and bad become clear through our words alone. Reaction, resound, reflection, all come from our words alone. Today everyone in the world knows how many kinds of evil deeds and how many kinds of injustice are taking place through the influence of the Kali age or through the modern age.
Man has two kinds of desire. One is desire; the second is greed. What is desire? There is nothing wrong in wanting what man needs in daily life. To guard our honour and dignity and our family's honour, the right needs are necessary for us too. To keep up our honour in society, some kinds of things are indeed necessary. Keeping the welfare of society in view, it is our duty to guard society's honour. The honour of this society itself becomes the honour of our region. The honour of that region itself becomes the honour of our country. So first the individual, second the group, third society, fourth the country. So all the students of today must develop Individual character. That itself is the individual's true form. That itself is the individual's honour. That itself is the individual's worth. After that, the group. We must guard our family's honour. In earlier times, whatever alliance they were looking at, they would look first at the family's honour. Today nobody observes at all what the family's honour is or what the individual's honour is. We must include this too among the tasks needed for our daily routine in daily life. This is natural desire. Then greed. You all know it. It cannot be told how some people, out of great greed for money, have taken lives.
