The moment I heard the Name Rāma, Mokṣa came to me. I gave up the body. Just hearing 'Rāma' once, my birth was fulfilled. Then I was born as a calf to the cow in a brahmin's house. You came there and asked me to teach the meaning of the Name of Rāma. Hearing the Name of Rāma, I gave up that birth too. And now I have been born as a prince. Do you see? Such a change through hearing the Name of Rāma. Where is a bird, where is a calf, and where is a prince! I have come to a high station. If such great changes come merely by hearing the Name, how great a change takes place merely by remembering the Name! This is the root cause of a birth fulfilled.
