Passage 3

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

This is just what the Veda declares: Sahasraśīrṣā puruṣaḥ sahasrākṣa sahasrapāt. This universe has many heads. This universe has many eyes. This universe has many feet. On this basis, when we enquire, every individual is the very form of Viṣṇu! In the same way, God has a second name, ‘Kūṭastha’. Kūṭastha means that in God there is the principle that shows the oneness of all things. Just as the foam, the wave and the ocean are one, so too creation, sustenance and dissolution, which are in the Divine, come to the state of the Kūṭastha. All of it has arisen from the ocean of Sat-Cit-Ānanda. This is the Ānanda that has sprung from the Mānasa lake. The root cause of this Ānanda is Sat-Cit. Sat means Satya. Cit means Jñāna. The oneness of these two is Ānanda. Sat is sugar. Whatever sugar is in, it stays sweet. Put it in coffee; it is sweet. Put it in tea; it is sweet. Put it in pāyasam; it is sweet. Put it in water; it stays a sweet drink. The sweetness of this sugar is there for ever. Sat means Being, that which does not change. That is the sugar. Cit is what awakens the principle of life and makes known Prajñānaṃ Brahma, constant integrated awareness. It is always moving, ever alive. For life, that water is the chief thing. So Cit is water and Sat is sugar. As long as the two stay apart, the sugar is just sugar and the water just water. Put the two together, and it turns into a sweet drink. In the same way, only when Sat and Cit come together does Ānanda take shape. Ānanda is our own true form! The principle of the Ātma called Sat is there unceasingly!

There must be oneness in these three: śraddhā, faith and Prema

Without the very principle of the Ātma, nothing in the world has any lustre. There is some super special paper, very costly paper. Write letters on it, and they are beautiful letters. What are those letters like? They make beautiful poetry.
