Passage 6

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

These five elements are there in every person! This itself is Padārtha-advaita. If you do not have some object, you may ask another for it. The object you ask for is right with you. Why should you ask for another object? The very five elements in you are in the one before you too. That itself is Advaita. The very five elements in me are in him. Since both are one, I need no other object. I need no other substance. ‘Ekaṃ yeva advitīyaṃ; ekohaṃ bahusyāṃ.’ The One has taken shape as the many. One and the same gold has been made into many jewels. So the principle of God and the five elements are present in all! In this there is no difference at all. This itself is Padārthādvaita. Only when man is accomplished in these three does he attain fulfilment.

To those with no love for God, everything is just wrong

When we keep Dvaita in the mind and live in Advaita, unrest alone comes to us. A small example. There was a rich man. That rich man had no work at all. Eating, sitting. From eating in this way he got indigestion. They brought a special doctor. ‘What medicine is there to cure the disease?’ he asked. The doctor: ‘Rich man! You need not spend a single naya paisa. You yourself are the cause of your indigestion. Do you not know how much your stomach holds? Out of sheer greed you keep stuffing it for nothing. That is why you got indigestion. The power of digestion is little, the food is much. That is just when indigestion comes. I am telling you a fine medicine for it: listen,’ he said. ‘Take a lump of salt this big, keep it always in your mouth and go on swallowing its essence,’ he said. Anyone who is suffering from indigestion may take note of this. In that way he kept on swallowing the essence of the salt. In some time the indigestion went away. At about that time his birthday came. Since his indigestion had gone by his birthday, he thought he would give sweets to everyone.
