In plain words
The Vice-Chancellor said it in three words: you are God. He gave a quotation which he said was Rāmakṛṣṇa Paramahaṃsa's, about the jīvātma and the Paramātma. But My meaning is something else. Ahaṃ dehātma, ahaṃ jīvātma, ahaṃ paramātma. ‘Ahaṃ dehātma’: to think ‘I am that dehātma’ is Ajñāna. This is Dvaita. ‘Ahaṃ jīvātma’: this is Viśiṣṭādvaita. ‘Ahaṃ paramātma’: this is Advaita. Ahaṃ dehātma, the one you think you are; ahaṃ jīvātma, the one others think you are; ahaṃ paramātma, the one you really are. When we understand this principle well, it is ‘deha ātma, jīva ātma, paraṃ ātma’. Dehaṃ, jīvaṃ, paraṃ: the three have become separate. Ātma, Ātma, Ātma has become one and the same. In the Gāyatrī Mantra they expressed this very thing as ‘Oṃ bhūrbhuvassuvaḥ’. Bhūr: Bhūloka. What is Bhūloka? All that is made of matter. That is the body, materialisation. Bhuvaḥ: it makes this body move; that is the principle of the jīva. That is vibration. Because of this vibration the body moves about. Body: materialisation; jīva: vibration; Ātma: radiation. These three are within us. Where else is there for you to search? Why should you search? If you recognise this truth, you yourself become all.
God alone is masterless
Kabīr was a poor man. He wove cloth, gave food to a good many people, and then ate himself. Whenever you looked, he was at his weaving, saying ‘Rām Rām Rām’ as he wove. Cloth woven with this Name was of great worth. But he did not look out for profit in the least. He sold it for only as much as its price was. Noting people's circumstances, if they were poor, he gave it away for nothing. On such days he himself went to bed hungry. In this connection, a small example. The Greeks are here, 25 of them. They landed by plane in Bangalore. They tied big luggage on their backs. They hung water bottles over both shoulders. Their Bhakti alone is Bhakti! From there they came on foot, taking one step at a time to ‘Oṃ Sathya Sāībābāya namaḥ’, and arrived in Puttaparthi. As soon as they came, I went up to them and welcomed them.
