In plain words
To the petty man who has no purity of citta, how can the Ātmatattva ever come? The Ātmatattva comes only to the purest Buddhi: this is the plain fact I am telling you.
Embodiments of Prema!
One who longs to attain the Ātmatattva, the man who longs to attain it and then teach it to others, must first of all bring about purity of citta. A man without purity of citta is not fit to teach the Ātmatattva. He cannot even know the Ātmatattva himself. Poisonous creatures, snakes and scorpions, enter only a room without light. Into a room filled with light such poisonous creatures cannot enter. In one whose heart holds Prema in its fullness, the poisonous creatures called lust, anger, pride and envy can find no way to enter. These, attachment and hatred, enter only the heart of one whose heart holds no pure, sacred Prema.
To gain purity of citta, there is no sādhana greater than constant remembrance of the Name of God
Humanness must be developed into a pure heart, a sacred heart, a heart full of Prema, a heart full of compassion. Every man's heart must become a heart of compassion. It must become a heart of Prema. It must become a heart of forbearance. It must become a heart of sympathy.
