In plain words

So our heart itself is the lock, our Manas itself the key. Turn it towards God, and it is detachment. Turn it towards Prakṛti, and it is attachment. You may well doubt how this can be. You have two legs. But once you have passed your examinations and taken an MBA, once you have entered a job, your mother and father tie a girl to you. Parents may do the tying. Or else you may do the tying yourselves. Whichever it is, what of it? Then there are four legs. Two yours, two hers. Then after that there are 6 legs. After that, then, there are 8 legs. After that, 10. As the legs grow more and more, the walking dies down. That itself is bondage. This bondage is not something that comes from somewhere. It comes from your own desires. That is why: Less luggage, more comfort, make travel a pleasure. Life is a very long journey. On this long journey we must lessen this luggage a little. Only then does Ānanda go on growing. As worldly responsibility lessens, Ānanda goes on growing. Tomorrow let us talk together about the load growing less. Carry out your duties. But keep the Manas set on the goal.
