In plain words
Take hold of the path you came by and go. You yourself do not know where you came from. What use is there in telling the path? In our life today there is no from address. There is no To address. Where we came from: there is no from address. Where we must go: there is no To address. So the letter called our life is falling into the dead letter office. This itself is the life that sinks and wastes away in the physical world. We must go on searching for the path we came by. Where is it that we came from?
Humanness That Came from Brahman Can Be Nothing but Brahman
Whatever we sprang from, its qualities alone keep arising in us. A pot born of earth becomes earth itself, nothing else. A pot born of clay becomes clay itself, nothing other. A tree that comes from a seed takes on the very form of the seed; it cannot take on any other shape. A hen born from an egg becomes just the hen that belongs to that egg; it cannot take shape as anything else. Humanness that came from Brahman is Brahman itself, nothing else. But we take the upādhi as our basis, believe that this is I, and believe, ‘I am a man.’ The form is human, but the basis is the Ātmatattva itself! To journey towards the eternal, true Supreme Principle is the Dharma of Prakṛti. The effort made to recognise the divine Ātmatattva is true Dharma. These worldly, natural dharmas are not Dharma. They are merely our habits. They are not the true Dharma. True Dharma is to receive the good fortune of beholding your own svarūpa.
Ātma-jñāna Is True Wealth
Artha means wealth. Wanting to earn artha, people heap up riches of many kinds, money and gold, goods and vehicles; they cannot maintain them, cannot keep hold of them, fall into many troubles and fall prey to many kinds of unrest. That is not our wealth. What is our wealth? Whatever Jñāna is needed to attain the principle of the Paramātma, that Jñāna alone is our wealth.
