In plain words
Only after you thought, ‘I want it,’ did the marriage take place; otherwise, would the marriage take place? No. You asked for it and brought it upon yourself, so it is a duty! After two years you conceive the wish for children. The children come. All of it is the fruit of saṅkalpas! You brought them upon yourself, so it is a duty! Not Dharma. What does Dharma mean? What came forth of itself is Dharma. What is our chief, right Dharma? To follow God is Dharma. That itself is natural Dharma. We need natural Dharma. Not an artificial Dharma. Natural Dharma comes from the heart. Physical dharma comes from art. What comes from art is not Dharma. What comes from the heart alone is Dharma. The heart must be filled with Prema. Through that Prema alone we must attain this Prema.

Embodiments of Prema! All the sādhanas we do, we must do not with the Manas but with Prema. One minute the Manas says it likes a thing; the next minute it says it does not want it. We must not think, ‘To follow the Manas is my lot.’ Is it your destiny to follow it? No, no. You are the Master. You are God Himself! You are the very embodiment of the Ātma! You are the embodiment of all power! If you resolve firmly, everything will come forth in you. That kind of faith we must develop today. Such faith is missing today. So today there is failure in everything! In nothing do people win. Today, go on holding this feeling. Everything will become a success. Success begets success. So do not follow the Manas in the least. This Manas is a deceiver. It speaks fair and does foul. How faithfully it follows you! But it carries you off into a big pit. That is its nature. But our nature is not to follow it. We must follow God. Giving up that following, you follow the Manas alone. Do not ask for anything. Do not ask anyone. If there is something to ask for, ask God. That is precisely why Rāmadās said,
