In plain words
This manyness is the manifestation of the One! This oneness and this difference are not two. They are two faces of one and the same thing! This whole world is the form of God! God is the root cause of the whole of creation! In this creation He shows Himself as an actor. Here the hero and the actor are both one and the same! He Himself takes on many forms, and in each form He goes on giving a teaching of its own. ‘Sahasraśīrṣāpuruṣaḥ sahasrākṣa sahasrapāt.’ All forms are God's forms! Whether people revile you or praise you, you must not think of them merely as others. What praises you and what reviles you is God Himself! In one form He praises you. In another form He reviles you. In one form He admires you. In another form He hurts you. Looking only at forms and names, and deluded by them, man passes his time in joy and sorrow, thinking that others are blaming him, that others are praising him. But the one who praises is God, and the one who blames is God! When we recognise this truth, we are able to know the oneness that is in humanity. Forms and names may be different. Feelings and conduct may be different. Shapes and changes may be different. But behind them all, hidden, is God Himself! He Himself stays hidden and acts as various persons in the outer world, and He Himself keeps this world going. The one who plays the part and the one who holds the strings are both God! He appears only as the one who plays the part; as the one who holds the strings He does not appear to you. Without the one who holds the strings, the one who plays the part cannot carry out his acting well.
Every object we see in this world is the divine form of God!
The One alone is the root foundation of the many. Without this One, the many is not seen. But some fools see only the world. They think the world alone is what matters. But they are unable to recognise the truth that there is an original as the foundation of this world. The shape of this world is the reflection of the original that stands behind it.
