Passage 4

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

In course of time, by the resolve of God and by divine power, a son was born to the two, Joseph and Mariyā. His name is ‘Ēsu’. What is the meaning of the word ‘Ēsu’? Ē, one; su means sacred. The sacred is one alone, in this world. The Jews went on believing that He alone is God. In course of time, as the influence of Jesus grew from day to day, many misunderstandings began among many people. His father died when He was still young, and so He went on teaching that we must help the mother. Those services are a great ideal for us. To what end? Our blood, food, head: all of it is the gift of the parents. So, first of all, we must show gratitude to the parents. Such were the good teachings Jesus went on giving the young men of that time. At a tender age, that is, at 11, He reached Jerusalem. Then His mother was badly alarmed. At that time many acts of violence were going on in that temple. To prove the truth, ‘Put an end to this violence; God is present in all beings’, He went on putting a stop to the violence. ‘O people! If you cannot do good to others, just sit still. But harm, at least, you must not do. Help ever, hurt never’, He taught. This is the very teaching that is in all religions! It is the essence of all religions! Such were the teachings Jesus went on giving the people. Next, He went on bringing healing to the sick. To those who suffered without food and drink, He went on giving food of one kind or another.

Every man is a messenger of God!

Doing such services, He went on saying that He was the Messenger of GOD. In course of time He made Himself known as son of GOD. This declaration went on proving the truth that there is a Father. The fame and renown of Jesus went on growing. At this very time two sects formed in the Christian religion. There were those called the Catholics and the Protestants. Another sect arose whose views differed from those of the Catholics.
