In plain words
Every man wears at his throat a garland that he does not know of. That is why every man must do sacred actions. Only then does man become worthy to receive a sacred result as well. But, unable to recognise divinity, unable to understand humanness, he falls prey to unrest through animality alone. This is not the right dharma for man. Humanness is sacred. To bear this divine humanness and still fail to recognise this humanness: this is even more to be lamented.
How can those who cannot recognise even humanness recognise divinity?
There are many yogīs. There are many who meditate. There are many who renounce. But how can those who cannot recognise even this humanness that is in man go on to recognise the divinity that is in men? So first of all we must recognise humanness. After that, divinity, the divine nature, becomes clear to us. How can one who cannot learn even his ABCD play at words building? How can one who cannot play this word building read a sentence? So, the things called words. The one you think you are; these, The one others think you are. This sentence, the one you really are. This physical body and the mental body rest on the Ātma alone. So the thing called the mind is just like a mad monkey. Mind is like a mad monkey. Body is like a water bubble. Don't follow the mind and don't follow the body. Follow the Conscience. When man makes the effort on this path, he can understand, at least to some extent, what divinity is.
Even the wise go astray at times
Even men who have come to know divinity in many ways, even great pandits, even poets, even men of intellect, now and then take paths that are somewhat wrong.
