Passage 3

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

So when we enquire in the light of this Ātma, he is blaming his own self. So you must recognise the truth that blame or praise, scorn or honour, only blame or praise, scorn or honour, concern the body alone and do not concern me, and act on it. When you foster the feeling ‘He is blaming me’, that blame reaches you. When you reject it with ‘It is not me’, you feel no pain at all.

A friend has written you a registered cover. But inside the registered cover he has written a great deal of abuse. The postman hands us that cover written in abuse only when we sign the acknowledgement. But when you do not sign the acknowledgement, that letter is redirected and goes back to the very man who wrote it. So blame is a letter. Here, if you sign on this acknowledgement of ‘He is blaming me’, that is, if you take on the feeling ‘He is doing it to me’, it becomes yours. If you take no account of it and let it go, it is redirected. It goes back and reaches him alone. So in this age, in these conditions, people stoop to blame and praise on the ground of this blame, praise, scorn, on the ground of their own Ahaṅkāra and mamakāra alone. Hence ‘Reflection of the inner being’: the very hatred within them keeps coming to us, by way of reaction, as blame.

As the Vision, So the Creation / Creation Follows Vision Alone

Once Kṛṣṇa called Duryodhana and said, ‘Duryodhana, you must help Me.’ ‘Kṛṣṇa, me, helping You! How proud this makes me! I will surely do it,’ he said. ‘Then go about the kingdom, see whether there is anyone good in this kingdom, and bring one back,’ He told him; he went.
