In plain words

He passed his M.Sc. Then he joined the MBA. I told him, “You have finished your PG, haven't you! Why an MBA?” I said. “I joined the MBA so that I could stay here two more years, Swami,” he said. In this way, each one has his own hope. There are so many boys like this, bless them. So those who have tasted the feeling for the mother look on God too with the feeling for a mother. Some study. They go out. What happiness do they find? What Śānti do they gain? By the karma of some past birth they were born to these people and are going to ruin, says Satyajit. No, no. Once God is gained, we need nothing more. That God Himself looks after mother, father and everyone. That deep faith must be firm. Otherwise no one has happiness.

In Puttaparthi, Nellore Reddy brought a film called Prahlāda and showed it. Little children. Though his father made Prahlāda drink poison, he drank it saying, “Nārāyaṇa, Nārāyaṇa,” and it went to Nārāyaṇa alone. He told Caṇḍa and the ministers, and had him pushed off the cliffs. Laughing, he said, “Nārāyaṇa, Nārāyaṇa,” and below, Nārāyaṇa Himself caught his hand. They brought snakes and had them bite him. He said, “Nārāyaṇa, Nārāyaṇa.” All the snakes turned into garlands. They had elephants trample him. He said, “Nārāyaṇa, Nārāyaṇa.” The elephant too took on the form of Nārāyaṇa. “Swami, all those are films, but I am seeing it before my own eyes. So I do not need any Nārāyaṇa. Sai Nārāyaṇa is enough,” he said. In this way, at a tender age itself, by the good deeds of some past birth, all such things come to them. They have noble feelings. Some are great devotees indeed, for as long as they are in college. The moment they go out, they are utterly wicked. The work their mouths do and the work they do are as bad as bad can be. That is why I said it in Kodaikanal too. For good speech must come. Without that good speech, what is the use? Samyak dṛṣṭi. Good vision must come. If samyak dṛṣṭi comes, samyak bhāvam enters. If samyak bhāvam comes, samyak śravaṇam follows. When there is samyak śravaṇam, they do samyak karmas. Samyak karmas alone are the path to Nirvāṇa.
