In plain words

Who Are the Trimūrti?

During these Navarātris people read the Devī Bhāgavatam, the Rāmāyaṇa and the Bhārata. They worship Durgā, Lakṣmī and Sarasvatī as the trimūrti. Who are these trimūrti? These trimūrti are contained in one Satya itself. Gāyatrī has three heads. Those three heads are these very ones. Gāyatrī, Sāvitrī, Sarasvatī. Gāyatrī: the ruler of our senses is Gāyatrī. Sāvitrī: the presiding deity of the life-breaths is Sāvitrī. Sarasvatī: the presiding deity of speech is Sarasvatī. So this Sarasvatī is the very form of the goddess of speech. She who is the ruler of the life-breaths is Sāvitrī. And She who stands as the ruler of the senses is Gāyatrī. These three are contained in one Satya alone. In the mantra Om bhūr bhuvas suvaḥ, what does this bhūr bhuvas suvaḥ mean?

Matter Energy Are Not Different

Bhūr means the body, which is materialisation. Bhuvaḥ means radiation; suvaḥ means vibration. In this body everything is matter. Our Venkatraman said that matter changes into energy and energy changes into matter. He is a scientist, so you may take what he said as true. But in My view that is not true. There are not two at all, matter and energy. All is just one. Matter itself is energy; energy itself is matter. Without energy there is no matter; without matter there is no energy. These two are inseparably bound, each resting on the other. So it is a great mistake to call them two. There is no matter at all in this world. Wherever you look, there is only Śakti. Apart from Śakti, no other substance at all is to be seen. So in these Navarātri festivals we perform the worship of Śakti. Where does Śakti come from? What is Satya is Śakti. Dharma is a Śakti. Śānti is a Śakti. This forbearance is a Śakti. All these are the worship of Śaktis, nothing else.

Satya Itself Is the Mother

For everything, Satya alone is the root cause. There is nothing greater than Satya.
