Passage 17

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

The whole world would be truly at peace. Because violence has grown, we have to say, “Śānti, Śānti, Śānti.” All of you, each one for yourself, experience Ānanda. God is right within me. My body is the temple of God. When you live with that faith, the whole country will surely attain Śānti.

Prema Must Never Change

Students! Embodiments of Prema! Every day, after the bhajan, we say, “Lokassamastā sukhinobhavantu.” Truly, without saying it, put it into practice yourselves. Because the whole world is not at peace; wherever you look, pieces, pieces. No peace. So the need has come for you to say Śānti. When we move among all peacefully, with Prema, with a natural feeling, there is no need to say ‘Lokāssamastā sukhinobhavantu’. The whole world will be truly at peace. Make your Prema grow. Each day, make your Prema grow towards at least ten people. If you share it in this way: in this land of Bhārata there are 95 crore people. Put a + to all of them, and that is all. All of them come together and become one. Without this oneness, separateness grows and grows. If there is oneness, all become embodiments of Ānanda. In that unity divinity comes to us. We must not change our Prema in any circumstance whatever. Whatever anyone says, we need not flinch. There is no need to fear. Why fear. When Prema is in us, why fear? Only the one who has no Prema should have fear. The one who has done wrong will have no Prema. No one at all need fear. Don't fear. Why fear when I am here. You must have faith in divinity of that kind. They are coming, many devotees. But how many have steady Bhakti, there is no saying. One minute they become negative, the next minute positive. You must not give the negative any room at all. All positive. These worldly desires are all negatives. Because you take in these negatives, your positive is getting spoiled. So make firm in yourselves the true thing, a steady feeling and unwavering Bhakti, and go on remembering God.
