In plain words
Seeing good people, they belittle them; yet what do they lack on this earth? Seeing an elephant, many a dog will bark; yet what does it lack on the earth?
Through the influence of today's Kali, we see so many scenes like these. Seeing the cuckoo sing, the crows caw ever so much. Yet for all that, the cuckoo never gives up its song at the crows' calls. Seeing the swans, the cranes cry out at them in great mockery. But however much the cranes mock, the swan's greatness is not lessened in the least. But when a person who has recognised the divinity of humanness recognises his own Satya himself, he neither bows nor swells up in the least before honour and pride like these, or before fame and standing. Human birth is a boon granted by God. Only when the person who has received this boon enjoys it on the right path does he become true to his name. And in it, this body that God has given is a sacred vessel. When we use this vessel in the proper way and in the right condition, the power of this vessel recognises the meaning of humanness.
The Lowest, the Middling and the Highest Aspirant
In this, three kinds of paths are seen. There are three states: the lowest, the middling and the highest. When a man makes good use of this vessel he has received, called the human body, and enjoys it on the right path, they rightly call him the highest. But the one who cannot recognise the worth of this vessel called the body, misuses it, enters the wrong path and makes it impure in many ways: him they call the lowest.
