In plain words
Even for millionaires it is only food and clothing; they cannot live by eating gold. When the time itself is not right, the very stick becomes a snake; when it comes your way, the clay becomes gold. In one place a scholar turns into a beast; at one time a fool turns into a sage; once, the goddess of poverty chooses the rich man and makes free with him. If it is not your lot, there is only the struggle; not even the smallest coin comes near you. Don't, my dear, don't, O man, such a great craving; live with good sense, good sir.
Embodiments of Prema!
In this vast world, in this endless multitude of people, human birth is a most excellent birth. This human life is a fortunate life, received by gathering the fruit of the merit of many births. In this one human life itself, this whole vast world lies contained in subtle form. A small gramophone record holds many songs, words, poems, dialogues, all of them. But if you take that record and hold it to your ear, no sound is heard. When you hold it before your eyes, not even a single letter can be seen. No one understands what those tunes are. The whole record looks merely like lines.
